About Me
The most densely populated major city in the United States, New York City is home to almost every religion, every socioeconomic class, approximately 800 languages and everything in between. It is known as the financial capital of the world anchored by Wall Street in Lower Manhattan; a major center of the world’s entertainment industry in the Broadway District; and as a place of global convergence illustrated as “The Crossroads of the World” at Times Square. With this vast array of diversity and popularity comes an even greater variety of need. The darker side that comes with dense populations and global influence is revealed through the aching eyes of the homeless, poor, and forgotten. “The least of these” so to speak living under the grandeur of success and productivity that only leaves them aching for more. The more that we know as the person of Jesus Christ. This need has been further exposed by Hurricane Sandy which ravaged the coast in October causing suffering and pain in lives of so many along the coast. Foundations have literally been removed from so many.
Adventures is currently engaged in sending teams both to fullfill the tangible needs of those in the inner city through youth trips to NYC Metro found here, and NYC Sandy Relief trips for adults and youth. We invite you come see how the Lord might use you to impact His kingdom in New York City!
