We started today with half of the group participating in a soup kitchen while the other half did street clean up. However, 20 minutes into the street clean up we saw a woman sitting outside of her hotel. The Holy Spirit called to one of the participants to talk to her and we soon found out that her daughter was having surgery for a rare heart disease today. We had the opportunity to speak with her and through tears (both ours and hers) we prayed over her daughter. God has an amazing way of interupting our lives to reach those that are hurting.

The afternoon turned into a kids ministry as we blew bubbles, swung, and played tag with the neighborhood kids at a local park. We definitely shared the Fruit of the Spirit - Joy at this park!
