Here is a compliation from the team of some of the Adventures we had on the first day:
- While doing demolition work in the bathroom, Jacqueline had hot water dumped on her head from a pipe burst
- We cleaned lots of unidentified dirty stuff
- We wore masks all day to not breath in the mold or other things..
- We accidently got locked out in the snow for a little while…on Spring Break!
- Ministered in a non-Christian place of worship
- Went for a run amidst New York City drivers
- Slept on a cot
- Were very productive on the worksite despite the lack of heat!
- Ate real New York pizza
- We got the attention of the community by wearing coveralls:)
- In just one day we saw so much fruit from our labor
- Gave above mentioned delicious pizza to a non-English speaking man
- Ate, slept and hung out in one room
- 1 minute showers
- Realized the Statue of Liberty is really tiny (from our view!)
- Hung out with the Rabbi
- Met with a guy named Dominic at the coffee shop and shared our faith
- Dressed in so many layers we looked like the Michelin tire man
