God changed my heart while I served at Father's Heart Ministry in Manhattan. My job was to park the carts and luggage of the homeless that were coming to receive food and groceries from the church. While I was working, I got to experience things I would never get to in the small mountain town that I live in. Serving made me realize just how fortunate and blessed I am to live where I do. Father's Heart made me very grateful for all that I have. God has blessed me with so much and I was glad to get the opportunity to serve those in need. I loved seeing the volunteers from my church love and change the lives of complete strangers. I enjoyed seeing how grateful people were. One woman gave a hug to each of the volunteers that she saw which brought me to tears. We got the experience of overcoming language barriers as we worked. The diversity of New York City is something I will never forget. God has taught me that there are tons of opportunities to help His children even if all you can do is pray for them. God has changed my heart to make me more selfless and humble. My relationship with the Lord has been strengthened during this trip.

"Now to God who is able through the mighty power within us to do infinitely more than we could ever imagine" Ephesians 3:20
